Motion Trio
An accordion trio (Janusz Wojtarowicz, Pawel Baranek and Marcin Galazhyn) founded in 1996 by Janusz Wojtarowicz - leader and composer of most of the music. A unique entity on the European and world music scenes, the Motion Trio is changing the face of the accordion while performing their own original music.
Despite their youthful age, the Motion Trio works with such artists as Bobby McFerrin, Michal Urbaniak. They are the grand prix laureates of the 4th Edition of the Krzysztof Penderecki International Contemporary Chamber Music Competition.
Their second album "Pictures From The Street" was met by considerable popular acclaim and was awarded the following honors: The Polish Music Industry's Grand Prix, Best Polish Recording in 2000, Top 2000 and "Jazzi" magazine's critics' choice for CD of the Year.
